the most music fire alarm ever

THE MOST MUSICAL FIRE ALARM EVER!

During my extended weekend away with my husband, in the most idyllic surroundings, we had just finished breakfast and the fire alarm began to sound in our hotel. Like all the other guests, we made our way downstairs to the entrance where we met a group of musicians. We got talking and found out that they were touring with the famous singer – Maxi Priest.  On the other side, a crowd began to gather and we heard a melodic musical voice with a guitar singing, ‘don’t worry, about a thing, cause every little thing’s gonna be alright.’ (The crowd sang along, cheered and laughed at the irony.)

A member of the band told us that it was Luciano – the famous conscious Jamaican reggae singer who was serenading the crowd with his dulcet tones. Luciano was someone that I remember listening to during my teenage years and he was the last person I expected to see on my getaway, especially because he doesn’t live in the UK.  Of course, I went over to him and we met. Such a lovely warm character.

What did I learn from meeting Luciano that day?

A singer or musician should always be ready! By being physically and mentally prepared, professional, and adaptable, you can ensure that you are always ready to perform at your best. You never know when you will get the opportunity to use your voice or your skills to make a difference and make someone’s day.

Use your voice for good, to uplift, support, encourage. Your words and actions have the power to impact those around you in positive or negative ways.

When we choose to use our voice for good, we can inspire others, lift them up, and make them feel valued and heard. Who knows who you will meet and when you may meet them?  It might be your first or last opportunity to make an impact.
